An excellent turn out on our first crispy night of the year. 36 players in all, a record for the first of the year. The weather was kind to us with some sunshine taking the chill off what would otherwise have been a very cold evening. The course was showing signs of recovery from the harsh weather we have had over many months but it remains very difficult to chip around the greens and quite bumpy on the putting surface. However, that said it proved relatively easy for new boy Matt Draper who somehow managed to score a very impressive 43 points. Also able to score well was Geoff Tyler with his impressive 42, I guess I need to take some lessons off of these guys. You'll notice we are recording the handicaps on the website now, both your club handicap (Current Hcap) and your crispy one (Adjusted Hcap). This may prove difficult to do but to help me out can you make sure you let me know if your club handicap changes from one week to the next (because of a club competition change) and keep a check on the website to make sure you are playing off of the correct crispy handicap. Matt will no doubt notice that next week he loses 4 shots and will be playing off of 15. Good luck Matt, try shooting 43 points next week.
